About Us

The Castaic Days Outdoor Festival is sponsored by the Castaic Days Civic Association (CDCA).  The CDCA was formed in 2009 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation whose mission is to promote the betterment of the greater Castaic community and the Castaic Lake Recreation Area.  We encourage the use of the lake by the general public as a recreational and educational facility.  Our main focus is to promote and execute the annual Castaic Days Outdoor Festival. 

The goal of Castaic Days is, through community service, to work for the betterment of the community of Castaic and to work with Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation to promote Castaic Lake Recreation Center via an annual Castaic Days event. 

The first annual Castaic Days Outdoor Festival was held in 2008. It was born from the idea of wanting to showcase Castaic Lake and the local community. A small group of volunteers took it upon themselves to coordinate and execute a free to the public festival with a family oriented theme that celebrated the beautiful lake and outdoor activities.  As the years progress, the CDCA will continue to work towards bringing more and more exciting activities and entertainment to the festival.  A few of the pivotal players in getting this annual event off the ground were LA County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, ALL of our Founders Circle sponsors and our Board of Directors who work so diligently all year long to make this wonderful weekend happen.
